Personalised Sightseeing Tour of Scotland

Your tour will commence on your arrival into Scotland where you will be met at the airport by your driver and a member of the Scotland Tours staff. You will then make the short journey to Fonab Castle Hotel. Nestles in the heart of the Highland Perthshire, this traditional Scottish castle draws inspiration from its historic past and breath-taking surroundings.

This morning you will travel with your driver into the Scottish Highlands where you will spend the next few days. On route you would stop at Dalwhinnie Distillery for a tour and tasting of their famous whisky. You will then be taken to Ness Walk Hotel where you will check in for the night. Nestles on the leafy banks of River Ness, Ness Walk is 19^th century idyllic retreat style hotel

NC500 day – today you could travel part of the NC500 route and enjoy the scenery as you travel. We can recommend a few picturesque places to stop for photographs and refreshments. If time permits you could enjoy a tour of Dunrobin Castle and Gardens.

Today you could travel along the west coast and visit some of the coastal towns such as Nairn and Elgin. You also have the option to enjoy the day exploring Speyside – where you will find the famous Macallan Distillery amongst many others.

This morning you will check out of your hotel and travel to the natural wonder that is the Isle of Skye with your driver. On route you could stop at Eilean Donan Castle (one of Scotland’s most photographed and famous castles). You then have time to explore Skye before checking into your luxury hotel which overlooks Portree picturesque Harbour.

Today you are free to explore the Isle of Skye. You could visit the Museum of Island Life which outlines the islanders through history and the challenges they faced living on a remote Scottish island. You could also visit the magical Fairy Pools and view the crystal-clear water.

This morning you will check out of your hotel on the Isle of Skye, your driver will take you to Mallaig where you will board the Jacobite Steam Train. This is described as the greatest railway journey in the world. The train will cross the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct (a location made famous in the Harry Potter films) which overlooks Loch Shiel and the Jacobite monument. You will alight the train at Fort William where your driver will be waiting for you. You will then be taken to Cameron House where you will check in for the next 2 nights. Located amidst the picturesque landscapes of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Cameron House stands as a beacon of timeless splendour on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Today you will explore Loch Lomond with a sensational seaplane trip. You’ll soar over the stunning Scottish scenery including lochs, glens, and rugged mountain peaks. You will have the rest of the day enjoy some free time. You could arrange a game of golf and tee off on one of the courses around Loch Lomond or enjoy the spa facilities at Cameron House.

This morning you will check out of your hotel and travel with your driver to Stirling where you will visit one of Scotland’s greatest stone castles, Stirling Castle. In its grandeur with its superb sculptures and beautiful gardens, it was a favoured residence of the Stewart Kings and Queens. You will then make the journey to Edinburgh where you will check into the Balmoral Hotel for the next 2 nights. Located in the centre of Edinburgh City, the Balmoral Hotels clock tower is a prominent landmark in Edinburgh.

Today you will visit Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Castle is one of the oldest fortified places in Europe. With is long rich history as royal residence, military garrison, prison and fortress, it is alive with many exciting tales. You will then have the afternoon to enjoy the medieval Old Town of Edinburgh and Edinburgh’s most famous street The Royal Mile.

Today your driver will take you back to the airport for your departing flight home. Depending on the time of your flight you may have time to enjoys some last minute sightseeing and shopping in Edinburgh.
